Premedical course
Westhill School of Medicine offers a Premedical Course. Students must satisfactorily complete this course in order to gain entrance to our Medical School
Five courses are offered every school-year with an approximate duration of 180 hours:

1st Course: October
2nd Course: January
3rd Course: April
4th Course: March
5th Course: June
Each course includes 180 standard credit hours. Course duration in weeks will vary depending on the season of the year, and holidays. Most classes will be programmed Monday thru Friday during the afternoon. Course credits include: Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Learning & Reading Strategies.

Should seek advice by telephone or e-mail on the exact dates of the courses. Positions may be filled quickly and courses may be closed without previous notification. We strongly encourage students to submit applications as soon as possible in order to ensure the best chance of placement.
Passing this course does not guarantee entrance to first year medical school classes. Admission is on a competitive basis; consequently, the entering class size may vary from year to year. The academic records of applicants are evaluated carefully, paying special attention on the student's undergraduate curriculum and their performance in our Premedical Course.
PROFILE OF CANDIDATE

Students wishing to engage in medical education should consider the following:

Must be inclined toward the biological sciences.
Must be proficient in (chemistry, physics, biology & math).
Must be able to engage in both team work and self-study.
Must possess good communication skills, both written and oral.
General requirements for admission include
Completed application and filing fee for the Premedical Course. The postmarked deadline for receipt of applications is three weeks prior to the beginning of the Premedical Course.
Submit the following documents (All supporting documents must be received with the application form):

Birth certificate or Medical Certificate of Good Health

Six full-face color photographs

Copy of your High School Diploma, certificate or GED with apostle (or proof of current student enrollment in an Area II High School study program until Official Transcripts are granted by the school)

Copy of College Academic History (if applicable)

Copy of your current (valid) passport.

Letter of recommendation from the pre-medical board, or two letters from previous science professors
