Frequently Asked Questions

Does a student have to pass USMLE Step 1 to be able to carry on to the third year of medical school ?
Answer: No, students are required to apply for and take the USMLE step 1 prior to entering the third year. If a student fails this test he/she WILL be allowed to enter the third year, although we strongly suggest the student re-takes the test as soon as possible. Passing USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 is obligatory by the end of the internship year (5th year) and for obtaining a Westhill Medical Diploma. -
Does a student need to be bilingual to apply for the International Program ?
Answer: No, the first 2 years of medical school are in English. This means both lectures and books are in English. An intensive Spanish language course is part of the program, thus students will most likely be familiar with Spanish by the end of the second year. -
